Those harsh blue-light peaks and that blinding glare? They’re not just annoying—they can actually hurt developing eyes. Dealing with the glare Most standard short-wave lamps put out a white light that’s practically blinding. To stop that, we use quartz coatings or filtered glass. Think of it like a pair of sunglasses for the heater. We block out the high-frequency light that hurts the eyes but let the long-wave infrared heat slide right through. That way, you get that cozy warmth on your skin, but you aren’t squinting the whole time you’re in the shower. The struggle with waterproofing Here’s the thing about IP65 waterproofing: it’s a bit of a trade-off. Sure, a tight seal keeps the steam and water out so you don’t blow a fuse in a humid bathroom.
