This heater runs on a 2500W halogen tube, and it’s plugged into a 400V line for a reason. That voltage keeps the cord thin and manageable, and it prevents the power from dipping over normal shop wiring runs. So the lamp gets steady power, and the cord stays cool. The tube itself is around 300mm long. That short length is the trick—it concentrates the heat into a tight beam. You get a lot of watt-density in a small footprint, which is exactly what you need when the heater has to live on a desk, bench, or tool cart without getting in the way.
